NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Aitan, a defense technology company helping allied nations build sovereign robotic defense capabilities, today emerged from stealth, defining a new category of Robotic Sovereignty-as-a-Service, and announces the company has closed a $41 million financing round co-led by Deep33 and Dell Technologies Capital, with participation from Gokul Rajaram (board member at Coinbase and Pinterest), Benjamin Ling (Bling Capital), and Kevin Weil (Scribble Ventures). The latest financing brings the company's total capital raised to $54 million and will support continued product development, international expansion, and growth of its global team.

As recent conflicts have demonstrated, fielding robotic weapons brings unprecedented operational and logistical challenges. Aitan was founded by Israeli and American entrepreneurs Udi Oster and Daniel Almog, who first met while serving as officers in the IDF's elite Unit 8200 before building Tapingo, the online ordering marketplace later acquired by Grubhub. The events following October 7 made the mission deeply personal: their longtime friend and former colleague, Or Levy, was kidnapped from the Nova music festival, where his wife was murdered, and Oster's younger brother, Eitan, was later killed while serving as a captain in the Egoz commando unit during Israel's ground operation in Lebanon. The company was named in Eitan's honor.

The company recently secured the joint contract to develop the command-and-control platform for the IDF's next-generation attack drone fleet, as well as the critical design contracts for key robotic weapon systems.
