Alamo Drafthouse Announces First Ever Lubbock Area Location With Franchise Partner Triple Tap Ventures LLC

AUSTIN, Texas, April 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas is pleased to announce plans to open its first Lubbock area location with franchise partner Triple Tap Ventures LLC. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lubbock will be located in the North Slide Square center at 5200 North Loop 289.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Lubbock will be a state-of-the art theater with eight screens.  Each auditorium will be equipped with state-of-the-art Digital and RealD 3D projection (plus 35mm projection in select auditoriums).  In addition to the superior AV equipment, the layout of each auditorium eliminates the traditional front rows, ensuring every seat in the house allows for an optimal viewing experience.  Construction and site work commenced over sixty days ago and this location will be opened well in advance of the summer movie season next year.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lubbock will also feature an adjacent stand-alone bar named Glass Half Full that will focus on quality, original and classic cocktails and a large selection of world-class draft and bottled beers.  This bar and lounge space will offer patrons an inviting place to socialize whether they are waiting for a movie or just catching a drink with friends. 

The new theater is being designed by Dallas, TX based 5G Studio Collaborative.  The design will combine traditional Alamo Drafthouse elements with a modest West Texas vernacular of brick and stucco showcasing the Glass Half Full bar and patio.
