Alamo Drafthouse Announces New Braunfels Location With Franchise Partner Reel Dinner Partners

AUSTIN, Texas, March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas is pleased to announce plans to open a New Braunfels, TX location with franchise partner Reel Dinner Partners.  The New Braunfels venue will be the fourth Alamo Drafthouse opened by Reel Dinner Partners and will be located at the Marketplace Shopping Center, approximately one half-mile south of Interstate 35 and Highway 46.  Alamo Drafthouse will take over the existing space there during the summer and begin remodeling for a fall opening.

After remodeling the 35,311 square foot space, "Alamo Drafthouse New Braunfels Marketplace" will be a state of the art location with eleven screens, and the only dine-in movie theater in New Braunfels.  Each of the auditoriums will be equipped with high-tech Sony 4K digital projection, as well as excellent screen size-to-room ratio and amazing Dolby Digital sound.  In addition to the superior AV equipment, the layout of each auditorium will eliminate the traditional front row, ensuring every seat in the house allows for a great viewing experience.  Alamo Drafthouse Marketplace will also feature a lounge offering an extensive menu of draft and bottled beers, wine, and food.  The lounge will be named Glass Half Full and will offer patrons an inviting place to socialize whether they are there early for a movie or out for a night with friends.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas provides a unique combination of theater and restaurant, showing first-run and independent films along with special event programming, and featuring an extensive menu of foods made from scratch in state-of-the-art culinary kitchens.
