Alaska Airlines App Now Available for Windows Phones

SEATTLE, May 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Customers can travel at ease on Alaska Airlines when they use the carrier's new native Windows Phone application, available for free in the Windows Phone Store. The app can be used on all smartphones with Windows Phone 8 and later versions.

As with Alaska's native apps for iPhone and Android devices, the Windows Phone app enables users to purchase a ticket — including award travel — track a reservation and flight, select a seat, pay for checked bags, view your Mileage Plan balance, and synchronize future flights. By late May, version 1.1 of the Windows Phone app will boast Live Tile functionality, offering users easy access to essential day-of travel information like flight status and gate information. With this upgrade, users will also be able to pin a boarding pass directly to their Start screen and receive pop-up toast notifications.
