PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- It's always special when someone receives flowers and traditional flower arrangements tend to stay fresh looking for only a few days. We typically give flowers to friends, family and loved ones as way to congratulate, celebrate and remember a moment. Our real flowers that last over a year help extend that moment beyond a traditional flower arrangement preserving that memory, moment and bond.
Introducing Bloom & Birch - Real flowers that last over one year without the need for water or sunlight. Bloom & Birch roses are hydro-preserved using a biodegradable and plant-based solution. What you will see is a soft/supple rose that will maintain a look of freshness for over one year and retain its beauty for even longer with proper care. Caring for these beauties is simple- avoid direct sunlight, keep indoors and avoid watering.
The home decor brand began less than a year ago and first made its debut in the garage of former Publicist and Founder, Suzanne Summers, then a stay at home Mom who also happens to be a longtime friend of Manzo's.
Bloom & Birch was formed as a homage to Summers' oldest son, who one-year prior was hospitalized at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital after a deadly infection almost took his life and a supportive friend sent roses to the child's room. Suzanne knew in that moment after her son was released with a clean bill of health, she would utilize her business platform to give back to others.
Albie, being a strategic brand specialist began offering advice to his friend. "Albie is by far one of the most talented and driven individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was able to solve the issues I faced as a small business owner," stated Summers. After several meetings in which Summers attributes to Manzo being a solid mentor and friend, Albie grew fonder of the product and became a managing partner in the brand taking on an everyday role in the company's operation. Manzo stated, "When getting involved with any startup business, you have to have a connection with the people you work with. With Suzanne and the team at Bloom & Birch, it was a no brainer. I fell in love with the product and the deeply personal story behind the brand and I love the idea of getting involved with a product that would help put a smile on people's faces. Flowers are obviously a go-to gift for many special occasions and the idea that we can take those precious moments and make them last is a gift that truly does keep on giving."
The brand initially launched within Silicon Valley Nordstrom stores and recently opened up nationwide shipping. Since their inception they have been proud donors of JDRF and the Lucile Packard Foundation.
The pair have a pretty exciting launch for Valentine's day, which is the perfect time to celebrate love and kindness and demonstrate the power of two friends coming together to make a difference... albeit one rose at a time.
