Alert Logic Appoints Former Sophos CEO to Board of Directors

HOUSTON, Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Alert Logic (www.alertlogic.com), a leading provider of Security-as-a-Service solutions for the cloud, today announced the appointment of Steve Munford to its Board of Directors. Mr. Munford will join six other board members on Alert Logic's board of directors who are corporate leaders in the fields of cloud computing technology, finance and business development.

Mr. Munford brings extensive global information security leadership expertise having served as Sophos' CEO from 2006 to 2012. During that time, he led the company through a dramatic period of growth, more than tripling bookings. Prior to his role as CEO, Mr. Munford served as President of Sophos for North America and then Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day running of the company and its senior management team.  Previously, he was President of ActiveState before its acquisition by Sophos in 2003. Under his leadership, ActiveState established itself as a global leader in email security software.
