ALEX AND ANI Names New President

CRANSTON, R.I., Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ALEX AND ANI, LLC, the positive energy, lifestyle brand, announced today that Cindy DiPietrantonio has been named President of the Company.  Ms. DiPietrantonio will drive the Company's business strategy and lead daily operations, reporting to CEO, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Carolyn Rafaelian.

Ms. DiPietrantonio joined ALEX AND ANI in July 2016 as Interim Chief Operating Officer, quickly immersing herself in the mechanisms of the Company's operations, assessing systems and processes and making recommendations for forward business strategies that align with the Company's vision and global expansion. The transition to President happened in a very natural, organic way.

Ms. DiPietrantonio brings more than 30 years of leadership experience to ALEX AND ANI, most recently serving as Interim President of SHEEX Performance Bed Sheets and Sleepwear from 2014-2016. While at SHEEX, she built an effective, high-performance management team and strategically paired the company with a major retailer, resulting in a sales increase of over 400%.

Prior to her position at SHEEX, Ms. DiPietrantonio was Chief Operating Officer for The Jones Group, a leading diversified Apparel and Footwear company housing nationally recognized brands including Jones New York, Nine West, Anne Klein, Gloria Vanderbilt, Enzo Angiolini and Stuart Weitzman, among others.

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Ms. DiPietrantonio served as a member of GS1, a neutral, not-for-profit, international organization that develops and maintains standards for supply and demand chains across multiple sectors.  Additionally, she was a member of the J.H. Baker Retail Center at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, she received the GS1 US Apparel and General Merchandise Roger Milliken Achievement Award – the first living female to receive that award.  Ms. DiPietrantonio is an active member of Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Business and currently volunteers in several charitable and non-profit programs.

Ms. DiPietrantonio will operate out of the Company's global headquarters in Cranston, Rhode Island.
