SAN DIEGO, Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Algebraix Data announced today that it has appointed Ed White as President. White has more than 20 years of broad, deep experience in the analytics industry, and is considered one of the most talented executives in the industry. As President, he will help Algebraix commercialize data algebra products to optimize the big data ecosystem.

White joined Algebraix Data in 2015 as General Manager to drive business strategy and sales. Prior to joining Algebraix, he was General Manager of Teradata Cloud, where he oversaw global deployment, strategy, marketing, product development, and product management for the company's cloud solution. White started his management career at Teradata, where he held a number of strategic positions including VP of Strategic Partnerships and VP of Product Marketing. White was General Manager of the company's industry-changing data-warehouse appliance line – considered a truly innovative solution that drove hundreds of millions in incremental revenue – before becoming responsible for Teradata's cloud strategy and solution.

"While at Teradata, Ed ran and built two divisions from scratch -- the first in Big Data analytic appliances, and then he started and led the Teradata cloud business," said Algebraix CEO Charlie Silver. "We were thrilled to bring him on board with the Algebraix team last year, and now even more excited to appoint him as President as we move Algebraix into the future."

This announcement comes as Algebraix is rapidly growing and scaling its business. In the role of President, White assumes executive responsibility for the commercialization of Algebraix technology, research and development, business development, and new customer acquisition.
