ALI CLE to Present Annual Course on Pressing Issues in Executive and Director Compensation
PHILADELPHIA, March 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (CLE) has announced the return of Executive Compensation: Strategy, Design, and Implementation, the premier event for legal counsel, advisors, human resource professionals, and experienced practitioners to keep current with the rapid changes in executive compensation. This year's conference will take place at the Sofitel Hotel in New York City on June 8-9, 2017.
The regulatory environment in Washington is signaling major financial reforms that will greatly impact the world of executive compensation. Registrants will hear from an experienced faculty of current and former government, business, and technical experts who will examine the diverse aspects of compensation issues from the legal, tax, accounting, and business perspectives and how they evolve to meet changing business needs.
Executive Compensation will provide up-to-the-minute updates on several developing changes stemming from the new administration and Congress. What is the future of the CEO pay ratio rule, how would the reconstituted SEC be likely to address the remaining pending executive compensation-related rules, and what are the prospects for future executive pay design and disclosure issues? The repeal or modification of the Dodd-Frank Act, including many of the executive compensation provisions, is on the table. In the event that Dodd-Frank is fully or partially repealed, and SEC regulation on executive compensation is substantially reduced, shareholders, boards, and proxy advisory firms will demand that a set of replacement measures be implemented to sustain an environment of best practices.
