EMERYVILLE, Calif., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Alibris, the world's most advanced online media marketplace provider for sellers of new and used books, and CampusBookRentals.com, the pioneering textbook rental company, announced the launch of their partnership today.
In order to drive growth and strengthen their supply chain, CampusBookRentals.com has completed an integration project with Alibris. The integration gives customers access to 100 million items — including new and used books and textbooks — offered for sale by the Alibris network of independent sellers.
"We're all excited about this partnership with Alibris. Every semester, we've seen our customer base grow, and this provides us with even more titles to meet the demands of this surging rental industry. We are committed to providing not only the most titles in the industry, but the highest on-time delivery and best customer support. This partnership aligns with those goals," stated Alan Martin, CEO of CampusBookRentals.com.
"Partnering with CampusBookRentals.com represents another step forward in Alibris's commitment to providing its network of sellers with access to the broadest base of buyers worldwide," said Brian Elliott, president and CEO of Alibris. "This is yet another way we at Alibris help our sellers grow their sales, while helping get the right books in the right hands, each and every time."
The CampusBookRentals.com integration was completed using the Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework, a standardized, XML-based technology that allows partners to access Alibris's seller network in highly flexible and scalable ways. The Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework allows partners to control the brand and customer experience, which provides buyers with a seamless website shopping experience, including integrated search, cart, and checkout processes.
