Alipay Selects Nok Nok Labs to Power First FIDO Ready™ Authentication Ecosystem in China

PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nok Nok Labs, an innovator in modern authentication and founding member of the FIDO Alliance, today announced that Alipay will use the company's NNL™ S3 Authentication Suite to enable secure online payments via the Fingerprint Sensor (FPS) technology on the Samsung Galaxy S5.Alipay customers, who make purchases and transfers in Alipay's mobile application, Alipay Wallet, no longer need to enter a password - just apply their fingerprint to the FPS for a simple, secure mobile shopping experience leveraging emerging FIDO™ standards.

Alipay has deployed the NNL™ Multifactor Authentication Server (MFAS), which provides a unified, flexible authentication infrastructure and communicates securely with the client present on the Galaxy S5. The Nok Nok solution was delivered in partnership with Lenovo Group Ltd., another founding member of the FIDO Alliance.
