All Strider 12 and 14x Bikes Earn STEAM Toy Accreditation

RAPID CITY, S.D., March 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Strider Bikes announced that all of the Strider 12" balance bike models (ages 1-4) and all Strider 14x balance-to-pedal bike models and pedal kits (ages 3-6) have earned the STEAM Toy Accreditation Stamp of Approval from the Toy Association and Dr. Gummer's Good Play Guide.

Strider 12" balance bikes (ages 1-4) provide children with a fun, safe and proven way to learn the foundational skills of bike riding (balance, coordination, problem solving, etc.), and have have now received the Toy Association's STEAM Toy Accreditation Seal of Approval.

Strider 14x Bikes and Pedal Kits (ages 3-6) help little riders transition from balancing to pedaling with ease, and have now received the Toy Association's STEAM Toy Accreditation Seal of Approval.

To receive this accreditation, a toy must meet the criteria outlined in the Toy Association's STEAM Toy Assessment Framework (Gummer & Taylor, 2020), which defines the specific characteristics of a good STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) toy for various age groups.

Strider has earned STEAM Accreditation in recognition of their bikes' capacity for using active play to teach children gross motor skills, problem solving, sensory processing and movement sense. Strider's online resources – now available with every bike purchase – expand on the learning opportunities while riding by providing opportunities for children to connect their bike learning progression to real world applications and explore their creative expression on their bike.
