Alliance for Women in Media/Foundation Welcomes Becky Brooks as Executive Director
WASHINGTON, June 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Alliance for Women in Media and Alliance for Women in Media Foundation are proud to welcome Becky Brooks as its new Executive Director. Brooks brings more than 15 years of association management experience to the position.

Brooks began her career as an intern for the International Spa Association, where she worked her way to the role of Vice President. Prior to stepping in as interim Executive Director of AWM/F, Brooks was Executive Director for Imago Relationships International, an organization uniting relationship therapists in nearly 40 countries. Her background includes experience in governance, sales, publications, events and strategic planning.

Brooks was announced as the new Executive Director at the recent Gracies Luncheon at the New York Hilton Midtown on June 22, 2015. More than 60 awards were handed out to Gracies honorees in local, public and student TV and radio. Tamron Hall, from NBC's "TODAY," MSNBC's "NewsNation," and Investigation Discovery's "Deadline: Crime," hosted the event and Melanie Martinez, top 5 contestant from season three of NBC's "The Voice," performed.
