Alliant Energy Names Gallegos Vice President and General Counsel

MADISON, Wis., Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE: LNT) announced today that it has hired James H. Gallegos as Vice President and General Counsel.

Gallegos brings to Alliant Energy more than 25 years of business and legal experience, including nearly a decade of utility experience. He holds a bachelors degree in business from the University of Colorado and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law Center. He will assume responsibility and oversight of the Alliant Energy's legal team. Gallegos replaces current Executive Vice President-General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer Barbara J. Swan, who will retire later this year.
