Allied Specialty Vehicles Appoints COO

ORLANDO, Fla., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV), a $1 billion revenue, privately held company comprised of industry leading brands in the fire & emergency, recreation and commercial specialty vehicle segments, appointed James R. Meyer as Chief Operating Officer.

Meyer, 50, most recently served as president & CEO of Hatteras Yachts, a subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation. Most recently, Meyer managed businesses at Brunswick in North America and the United Kingdom. His 30-year career includes Director of Product Development at Ford Motor Company for medium and large cars as well as crossover vehicles, General Manager of small cars for Mazda (Japan) and various other significant engineering and operations leadership roles at Ford Motor as well as Bolt, Beranek & Newman, Inc.
