Allied Specialty Vehicles Appoints New President of Collins Bus Corporation
SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV), a $1 billion revenue, privately held company comprised of industry leading brands in the fire & emergency, recreation and commercial specialty vehicle segments, appointed Dan Peters as the president of Collins Bus Corporation.
With 30 years of experience in developing strong customer relationships, team building, and an established record of leading business growth, Peters is a proven business leader and brings to Collins Bus a wealth of sales, marketing and operations management knowledge. Peters also possesses a wealth of knowledge in the specialty vehicle industry after serving five years with Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, as general manager of a division of Pierce Manufacturing and, more recently, as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. During his time with the company Peters was responsible for leading the North American sales team while also overseeing customer service, product specialists, marketing and dealer development. Prior to his experience at Pierce, Peters held the position of President at Akron Brass, a subsidiary of Premier Farnell, where he grew the company's revenues from $40 million to over $125 million.
