Allstate Insurance and Enterprise Rent-A-Car Team up to Deliver Clean Water to Flint Residents
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Jan. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- To help Flint residents get access to clean drinking water, Allstate agency owners and Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations across the state of Michigan are partnering to deliver bottled water to those in need.
Participating Allstate Agencies throughout the state are accepting donations of bottled water, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees are picking up the donations and shuttling them to local rental branches in Flint. A volunteer effort, led by the Legacy Group Water Project, is distributing the donated water to those in need in coordination with the State Emergency Operations Center in Flint. In addition, Enterprise locations across the state will accept donations of water as well.
"Commitment to our communities is a natural extension of what we do every day – protecting people and making their lives more secure," said Waterford Allstate agency owner Paul Connolly. "This is an easy way for residents all over the state to give back and help get clean water to Flint."
