Almar Sales Co.'s Campaign to Donate to Every Children's Hospital in America
Recently Reached $50k Product Milestone
NEW YORK, March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Almar Sales Co., one of the largest manufacturers of children's accessories and dress-up collections, has donated over $50k of its products to sixty children's hospitals across the country since 2010. The donations are part of the 45-year-old, family-owned company's campaign to reach every children's hospital nationwide.
"Sick children need more than just twenty-four hour care from physicians. They need to know that they can still play, laugh and enjoy life as a child," said Allen Ash, Vice President of Sales for Almar Sales Co. and a father [of two].
Almar Sales Co. initiated its campaign following a donation request from a St. Louis, Missouri-based hospital for its annual fundraiser. The Company sent the hospital princess outfits and tu-tu's for use as silent auction items.
Ash continued: "We decided then and there to reach out directly to other children's hospitals with product donations. Our hope is that our toys and novelty items can help put smiles not only on the faces of children, but offer their parents some happiness, as well. If a child can forget his illness for even just a minute, then we know our efforts are worth it."
