PHILADELPHIA, June 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aloft Philadelphia Airport and Sheraton Suites Philadelphia today announced that the Shane Victorino Foundation will benefit from a new program being offered at both hotels. Beginning on June 8 and running throughout the remainder of the Major League Baseball (MLB) season, as well as the playoffs, the hotels will offer guests the "Flyin' Hawaiian Room Package," which includes free high-speed Internet, free parking, and, the highlight of the special, an autographed baseball by Shane Victorino.
"It's always a great opportunity when I can utilize baseball as a way to benefit my Foundation," stated Shane Victorino. "So for Aloft to combine my heritage and jersey number in a concept that helps raise money for the Foundation's mission and better serve their customers... that's a win-win situation for everyone."
Hotel packages range from $168 and up, not including tax, and $8 from every "Flyin' Hawaiian Package" benefits the Shane Victorino Foundation. For more information on the hotels and the special offer, please visit www.starwoodhotels.com/phillyflyinhawaiian.
"Shane Victorino is an exceptional baseball player and human being, so we thought who better to represent our hotels in Philadelphia through this promotion than the 'Flyin' Hawaiian' himself," said Nina Timani, Director of Sales and Marketing for Aloft, Sheraton Suites and Four Points Sheraton Philadelphia Airport. "Shane's Foundation serves a great mission in helping underprivileged children in both Philadelphia and Hawaii, so we are excited to donate $8 to the Shane Victorino Foundation from every 'Flyin' Hawaiian' package that we sell. We have great mahalo for Shane."

ABOUT THE SHANE VICTORINO FOUNDATION
Shane and Melissa Victorino founded the Shane Victorino Foundation (SVF) in 2010. The nonprofit is dedicated to promoting opportunities for underserved youth in Philadelphia and Hawaii as it engages in projects which provide children with educational, recreational and wellness programs. The organization's first major endeavor in Philadelphia was to pledge nearly $1 million to renovate the 105-year old Nicetown Boys & Girls Club, which will reopen at the end of the summer. Additionally, the SVF currently sponsors the Flyin' Hawaiian All-Stars charity ticket program which provides children's groups with game tickets, t-shirts and concessions. In Shane's native Hawaii, the Foundation supports projects serving disadvantaged children. Over the past three years alone, the SVF has raised more than a half-of-a-million dollars for various charities, including the Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui and others.
