ALTe LLC Proud Sponsor of 2011 North American International Auto Show

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ALTe LLC, the Michigan-based technology company and mass producer of hybrid and electric powertrains, was proud to be one of nineteen new sponsors at this year's North American International Auto Show, held at Detroit's Cobo Center.

ALTe joined with Michigan Economic Development Corporation to be a part of their Town Square exhibit, new for this year. The Town Square exhibit showcased a variety of companies in advanced technologies such as ALTe.

During the show, Thomas and ALTe's VP of Marketing & Sales, Dennis Baranik, presented the ALTe vision to Gov. Rick Snyder, as well as MEDC's new CEO, Michael Finney. Thomas was also featured in an interview with PBS Newshour's Paul Solman with GM North America President Mark Reuss, Bob Lutz, retired Vice Chairman of GM and Jason Forcier, Senior VP of Automotive for A123 Systems.  

ALTe is the developer of a Range Extended Electric Powertrain used to Repower Light Commercial Vehicles. The system is retrofitted into existing fleet vehicles and used in "glider" applications to dramatically increase their fuel economy and lower emissions. Designed to replace a base V-8 internal combustion engine powertrain, the system's patented technology improves fuel economy from 80% to 200%.

ALTe is currently in development testing of their systems and are taking advanced orders for vehicle shipments.
