AMA Tampa Bay's Healthcare Marketing SIG Presents "Top Ten Strategies to Acquire, Retain, and Win Back Patients and How to Make them Work for You!"
TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Tampa Bay) and its Healthcare Marketing Shared Interest Group (SIG) will present its "Breakfast with Champions" event entitled "Top Ten Strategies to Acquire, Retain and Win Back Patients and How to Make them Work for You!" on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park. The "Breakfast with Champions" event is open to all marketing and healthcare professionals. Cost for the breakfast event is $25 for AMA members and $40 for non-members.
James Doulgeris, Senior Strategist for Healthcare at HCP Associates in Tampa, will be the Guest Speaker and will explore the latest in healthcare marketing. Doulgeris will share how perception and changes in patient behavior can impact marketing strategy, and attendees will leave the event with actionable steps that can be implemented for immediate success.
Doulgeris will share his expertise in discussing the top ten changes in patient expectations and how to address them effectively, efficiently and profitably; patient retention strategies; and valuable tips for increasing physician referrals.
Doulgeris' 35 plus years of health care and biotechnology executive management expertise include serving as President, CEO, and Director on a number of Boards of for-profit and not-for-profit, as well as public and private companies in the hospital, ancillary provider, medical device and health care services industries.
In 1983, Doulgeris co-founded National Comtel Systems. Under his guidance, National Comtel Systems became one of the largest hospital contract management companies in the country. Later in his career, Doulgeris worked as a CEO level crisis-management professional for a number of healthcare providers from hospitals to large physician practices and ancillary healthcare providers. More recently, Mr. Doulgeris co-founded and served as President and CEO through the growing years of both the Orthopedic Development and MinSurg Corporations. Doulgeris also co-authored the award-winning novel "The Dyodyne Experiment" and dozens of published articles and op-ed pieces on marketing and the future of the healthcare industry.
