WASHINGTON, Nov. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The John Bolton PAC announces additional support of $5,000 to Martha McSally's campaign for Arizona's 2nd Congressional District. This contribution will go towards the recount effort, which is in addition to $10,000 the Bolton PAC already contributed to McSally for her primary and general election campaign. McSally is ahead by just 161 votes, out of more than 219,000 with an official recount to begin December 1. A veteran, McSally has stated her commitment to securing American's strategic interests, both foreign and domestic, and Ambassador John Bolton remains focused on supporting her path to victory.
"Martha is a dedicated and honorable American veteran who will continue to serve her country and constituents as a strong leader in the U.S. House of Representatives," Ambassador Bolton said. "Throughout her career she has proven time and again capable of overcoming barriers to meet her goals, and I believe this current challenge will prove no different as I am confident she will soon be the next Congresswoman from Arizona's 2nd District."
Over the past 10 months, the John Bolton PAC and SuperPAC raised over $7.5M and made PAC contributions totaling more than $470,000 to 87 GOP candidates across the country winning decisively in 75% of its supported races. An extensive $5 million digital ad campaign was implemented in 14 states, including a robust effort in New Hampshire, North Carolina, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, and Iowa. "In Arizona, as in many states throughout the nation, I have devoted my PAC's resources towards supporting candidates who believe in the exceptional and indispensable role that the United States must have in global affairs," Ambassador Bolton said. "In a time during which multiple regional conflicts have posed significant risks to our national interests, America needs decisive representation in Congress that is capable of steadfast and principled decision making. Working towards getting McSally elected brings us one step closer to this goal."
