Ambetter Health of North Carolina Partners with YMCA for NC Members

RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The North Carolina Alliance of YMCAs has partnered with Ambetter Health of North Carolina Inc. (Ambetter) to provide Ambetter members with a complimentary YMCA membership. Ambetter provides health insurance to over 140,000 North Carolinians through the Marketplace where members can secure low-cost health coverage with an Advanced Tax Credit to subsidize monthly premiums. In addition to coverage for doctor visits, hospitalization, and prescription drugs, Ambetter members receive extras like YMCA facility access to support overall health and wellness.

Starting January 1, 2025, Ambetter plan members can join a Y in North Carolina at no additional cost. Ambetter members may visit their local participating Y to activate their in-person membership. For Ambetter members who live far from a Y or prefer the convenience of at-home access, YMCA360 offers a full suite of virtual programming.
