Amedica Appoints Distinguished Surgical Device And Biomaterials Executive Jeff White To Board Of Directors

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Amedica Corporation, a biomaterials company, today announced the appointment of Jeff White to its Board of Directors.

With more than 35 years of experience, Mr. White has been instrumental in the development and growth of various companies in the surgical device and biomaterial industry. Jeff is currently principal at Medtech Advisory Group LLC, a firm that advises early and mid-stage medical technology firms. Prior to founding Medtech, Mr. White served as Global Director of Business Development for Synthes, a multi-billion dollar global orthopedic firm acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2012.  Previously, Mr. White co-founded two medical device companies including Applied Spine Technologies, Inc. where he led efforts to develop innovative spinal devices for patients suffering from spinal injuries or degeneration.  He has also held various positions with US Surgical Corporation and Richard Allan Medical Industries, Inc.
