America Movil Selects Alcatel-Lucent as a Provider of LTE Infrastructure for 4G Networks in Latin America
Next-generation mobile broadband deployment will include Alcatel-Lucent's breakthrough lightRadio™ solution as part of its package of LTE technologies
PARIS, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- America Movil, the leading wireless services provider in Latin America, has selected Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris andNYSE: ALU) to provide infrastructure for its LTE/4G network rollout in Latin America.
The deployment will commence with America Movil's operator Claro commercially launching high-speed mobile broadband services to subscribers in Puerto Rico in the coming weeks. Claro's service offering will use Alcatel-Lucent's LTE solution, including its breakthrough lightRadio™ portfolio of products.
