American Legion Vice Commander to Participate in Memorial Day Ceremonies
WASHINGTON, May 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- James Morris, one of The American Legion's five national vice commanders, will place a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery during a Memorial Day ceremony scheduled for 11 a.m.
Morris will also participate in an "Observance at The Wall" ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at 1 p.m., sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
Earlier that day, Morris will attend a White House breakfast reception to honor Gold Star families; the event will be hosted by vice president Joe Biden.
Over the entire Memorial Day weekend, The American Legion will host a tent on the National Mall, near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Volunteers will be on hand to provide information on American Legion programs, as well as benefits available from the Dept. of Veterans Affairs.
