American Sentinel's Constitution Week Reflection Wall will share quotes from its students, alumni, staff and faculty about what the Constitution means to them, what their favorite amendment is and how Constitutional freedoms reflect the values they cherish and the ideals they strive for as a society.
The university will also host a Constitution Week Contest. Students and faculty members can participate in the quiz through the online classroom. All participants will be entered to win gift certificates from American Sentinel's online store.
American Sentinel will engage its community of academic scholars and students with an informative learning session about the importance of America's Constitution and examine how the freedoms they enjoy enables them to be civically engaged in their daily lives.
"The mission of American Sentinel University compels us as educators to provide educational opportunities for students that enhance their professional and civic lives. The most appropriate way to accomplish this is to engage our community of academic scholars and students in a dialogue about our country's Constitutional freedoms," says Mary Adams, president and chief academic officer at American Sentinel University.
Constitution Day (formerly Citizenship Day) commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. It is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens.
