Amiri Construction Wins GBP5.8m Kingsbridge Estates Contract

- Fareham Building Contractor Will Construct New Factory Site in West Sussex

Amiri Construction has secured a GBP5.8m contract from Kingsbridge Estates in Chichester to deliver a new pack house development for salad producers Natures Way Foods (NWF).

The 33 week contract will see Fareham based Amiri bring together a 100 strong workforce, drawn mainly from local contractors, to complete the 90,000sqft NWF pack house development in Runcton, near Chichester, by December 2011.

The new development, valued at GBP14.2m in total, will enable NWF to expand its business on the site, creating some 400 new jobs. Construction will involve a series of measures - including capturing rainwater to fill ponds, tree and wildflower planting on the site's boundaries, and the creation of a wildlife zone on the western edge of the site - to reduce the development's impact on wildlife and the local environment.

It is planned that Amiri will begin construction within the next few weeks.
