Andrew B. Lipsher Joins Korn/Ferry As Senior Client Partner In The Consumer Practice

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE: KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that Andrew B. Lipsher  has joined the Firm as a Senior Client Parter in the Global Consumer Practice with a focus on global media convergence, technology, media and entertainment, digital media and consumer internet.  He will be based in Korn/Ferry's New York City office.

Mr. Lipsher joins Korn/Ferry from Clear Channel Media Holdings, where he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development with global responsibility for M&A, corporate development, strategy and capital deployment for the $6.2 billion radio and outdoor advertising business.  Mr. Lipsher's career has spanned nearly 20 years of media and entertainment and digital media and technology corporate development, strategy, M&A and investment. His experiences have covered all aspects of the business including investment activities (private equity and venture), M&A, strategic planning, new business development, technology, operating and Board level activities, restructurings and divestitures. Mr. Lipsher has worked closely with C-Suite executives and senior management to help set, plan and execute strategies and objectives.

Prior to Clear Channel, Mr. Lipsher was a Partner at Greycroft LLC, a digital media venture capital fund.  At Greycroft, Lipsher focused on deal sourcing, due diligence and investments and worked closely with portfolio companies. He took an active role in managing the firm and was instrumental in fundraising. Before Greycroft, he was the Head of M&A, Corporate Development and Administration for Interscope Geffen A&M Records ("IGA"), a division of the Universal Music Group. He worked closely with senior management to identify and structure strategic opportunities related to, but outside of the core music business including technology, film, fashion, and television investments and partnerships as well as participating in day-to-day operations.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Lipsher held senior executive roles at News Corporation, BMG Entertainment (a division of Bertelsmann AG) and Warner Music Group (then a division of Time Warner) where he focused on corporate development, M&A and investment activities.  After leaving Warner Music, he joined Maroley Media Group, the private equity firm founded by the former Chairman and CEO of Warner Music where he led the investment efforts. 

Mr. Lipsher received a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master's in Business Administration from Northwestern's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  Mr. Lipsher is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Becket Chimney Corners YMCA and The Berkshire Outdoor Center, and a member of the Digital Media Board of Directors of the UJA. He remains an active advisor to early stage digital media companies.
