Andrew Karolyi Named an Editor of Prestigious Finance Journal, the Review For Financial Studies

ITHACA, N.Y., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Andrew Karolyi, professor of Finance and Global Business at the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, has been named an editor of the Review for Financial Studies (RFS).  Founded by Society for Financial Studies in 1988, RFS is considered one of the top academic journals in Finance along with the Journal of Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics.

About the appointment, Karolyi, whose first publication with the RFS was in 1991, said, "To get the call to edit the Review is both awesome and daunting at the same time. The readership, submission counts and the research impact statistics are all growing by leaps and bounds, so there is a great responsibility as editor to continue the positive momentum."

Karolyi is an internationally-known scholar in the area of investment management with a specialization in the study of international financial markets.  At Johnson, Karolyi also holds the Alumni Professorship in Asset Management, and contributes to the research and teaching mission of the Parker Center for Investment Research.  This year, Andrew Karolyi was elected president of the Financial Management Association International, a global leader in developing and disseminating knowledge about financial decision making.
