Gordon, M.D.,   to their team of medical experts. Dr. Gordon is board certified in family medicine with a certificate of additional qualification in primary care sports medicine. She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal injuries for everyone from Little League to Major League; weekend warriors to wounded warriors. Additionally, she manages chronic illnesses that may affect athletic performance such as fatigue, hormonal issues, diabetes and asthma, and has a special interest in treating pregnant athletes and dancers.

Dr. Gordon will treat patients at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Fla., as well as at Baptist Medical Park — Nine Mile in Pensacola, Fla. She also is serving as associate director of the primary care sports medicine fellowship program at the Andrews Institute.

Dr. Gordon completed her medical training in the Dartmouth-Brown Program in Medicine, Providence, RI, and an internship in general surgery at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Additionally, she completed a residency in family medicine at Naval Hospital Pensacola and fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA.

Prior to joining the Andrews Institute and Baptist Medical Group, CAPT Gordon served as staff family and sports medicine physician at Naval Hospital Pensacola. She is armed with experience as associate director of residency training, then senior medical officer and founder of the sports medicine and reconditioning team for Naval Air Technical Training Center.
