NEW YORK, Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On November 5th, internationally-bestselling boy choir LIBERA released a CD and DVD of a Christmas program recorded in concert at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Armagh. Libera's timeless Christmas repertoire consists of six tracks never previously recorded by the group, new arrangements of 14 traditional carols (as well as Danny Boy), and two bonus tracks: Once in royal David's city and Exsultate. The music content of the audio and video versions is identical, and the DVD also includes documentary features.

Both the CD and the DVD will be featured extensively in the PBS December pledge drive, with the program broadcast in stations across the US beginning November 28th.
Libera is well known to US audiences, having made numerous concert tours and television appearances, including a previous nationwide PBS special in 2007, a tribute to Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys at the Kennedy Center Honors, a Papal Mass at New York's Yankee Stadium before a capacity congregation of 65,000 and a performance on Hour of Power, transmitted via television and internet to millions of viewers around the world.
The group of boys who make up Libera, aged between 7 and 16, has been praised for its unique and deeply-moving sound which is at once both ancient and modern.
