Catering to designers and consumers seeking out the finest in home furnishings, South Park was a natural fit for Ann Sacks Charlotte and the range of brands one can experience under its roof.
Making its home in the thriving retail and dining destination of South Park, Ann Sacks Charlotte offers customers a new way to experience the full breadth of products they offer in a service-oriented, interactive environment. In addition to the showroom, clients can also explore the adjoining slab gallery, which features 60 different varieties of natural stone and over 500 slabs.
Ann Sacks Charlotte is based upon an innovative merchandising and sales model – a blueprint unveiled in 2022 – developed to elevate the client experience across all showrooms. In addition to existing collections, exclusive designs include a KLAFS sauna; STRIKE fireplaces; Robern's solutions for beauty and storage spaces; and Kohler and Kallista plumbing will be on display to inspire creativity at every turn.
Ann Sacks Charlotte features banks of windows to provide ample, natural light. An organic mix of color is featured throughout the showroom in a creative display of warm and cool complementing shades to appeal to myriad tastes. The open floor plan allows for smooth traffic flow and unobstructed views of the designs encouraging an active, engaging environment with all the tools – and an experienced sales staff – to seamlessly take a project from concept to reality down to the smallest detail.
Presented in a gallery-like setting, a welcoming retail lounge offers a variety of comfortable seating areas to work and invite conversation. A deep, charcoal grey, wall-to-wall cabinet is topped by a slab of highly figured Eros Grey marble, its deep grey-to-black field crackling with white veining and housing the brands' artisan retail assortment. Five tile panels featuring the Ann Sacks MADE Modern collection, which is handcrafted in its Portland, Ore. facility, hang above the cabinet, the textural tiles lending depth and dimension within the room.
A series of well-appointed lifestyle suites, including a working kitchen, dining room/banquet, scullery, bar, and Gemma STRIKE fireplace suite are all a part of the floor's offerings. Additionally, three bath suites were designed with inspiration in mind:
Willowmere Bath Suite: The sophisticated Willowmere Suite feature walls laid in two Ann Sacks Studio McGee collections – Canyon Lake and Willow Heights – the soft colorations in beautiful contrast to the creamy Calacatta marble floor. Ann Sacks Ophelia Tub stands proud within the suite, its supple, ribbed form hand carved from Portuguese Verde Serpa marble, its milk white field awash in sapphire blue and dove grey linear veining and black, pearl-shaped mottling. Other furnishings include the Robern Willowmere double sink vanity with Calacatta top and Kallista Central Park West faucet with lever handles.
KLAFS Bath Suite: A KLAFS sauna shares center stage within the showroom. The German design, which come in a variety of sizes and configurations, continues Ann Sacks' focus on bringing the finest in wellness and sustainable products to consumers. The Valora Sauna, with its clean modern exterior is fitted with full-length glass windows, surrounded by sleek steel frames in Black or White satin finish. The interior is furnished with L-shaped seating and BONATHERM under-bench heating system to maximize space and safety. Other benefits of Valora include a touch control panel that adjusts temperature, humidity, sound, light, and SANARIUM® climate system, which offers five distinct bathing styles including classic sauna, tropical steam, warm air, soft steam, and aroma infusion. The model also offers dimmable SUNSET backrest lighting, its warm white light setting the perfect ambiance.
Cartesian Bath Suite: Rounding out the room is the Cartesian Suite, which employs a contrasting stone mix in its elegant design statement. The walls are laid in White Thassos and Ann Sacks Areva collection tiles in Lilac, White, and Lilac/White Thassos blend. A Robern Cartesian vanity is topped by a slab of Ann Sacks Lilac, its white field draped in veins of lavender to deep blue grey. The Kallista Papion freestanding tub and Guise collection plumbing complete the space.
To further promote the range of design possibilities, Ann Sacks' in-house design team also created seven smaller bathroom vignettes that range from traditional to contemporary in scope. The vignettes are laid in some of Ann Sacks most popular and best-in-class tiles, including Liaison by Kelly Wearstler, the Beau Monde Glass series, Savoy Insho, and MADE Linen Weave. The suites also showcase a range of Luxury Brand products including Ann Sacks and Robern vanities, Robern lighted and decorative mirrors, and Kallista faucets.
The thoughtful floor plan is pivotal to the showroom design and was strategically laid out to encourage exploration and create a smooth traffic flow for visitors to access and engage easily with the products featured throughout the 13,000 square foot space. In addition to the retail lounge and lifestyle settings is the Design Studio, a one-stop, fully equipped hub of activity, organized to bring all the tools needed into one central location.
The sample shop, which is standardly located off showroom floors, is incorporated within the Design Studio to keep the creativity flowing without interruption. The Design Studio will also offer basic paint, cabinetry, and finish samples to better realize a project's potential from a more holistic point of view. Other thoughtful touches with the consumer in mind include a combination of state-of-the-art, 90-percent low-energy LED track, recessed and linear down lighting to complement the abundant natural light, and additional worktables, which are conveniently situated throughout the space.
Moving from the showroom is the adjoining, slab gallery where clients can view myriad varieties and natural stone slabs in a comfortable, air-conditioned space.
