Anna's Linens Pushes Up Black Friday Opening to 10:00 p.m. Thanksgiving Night

COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Looking to capitalize on the earlier openings of other Black Friday retailers, as well as create a more convenient shopping experience for deal seekers, Anna's Linens announced today that it is making its door-buster deals available two hours earlier than previously planned; it will now start its Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving at 10:00 p.m.

Anna's Linens, the 14^th largest home furnishings, decor and textiles retailer in the country, originally scheduled its Black Friday deals to commence at midnight, November 23.  The retailer decided to push up its store openings two hours earlier – to Thanksgiving evening – in reaction to a number of national stores announcing plans to open at midnight or earlier.

"This move allows us to attract a greater number of shoppers, but also gives Black Friday customers the convenience to shop our stores while hitting the nearby big-box retailers a few hours later," said Alan Gladstone, chairman and CEO of Anna's Linens.  "We intended to follow suit and open at midnight, but decided opening earlier was a better move to create a more opportune Black Friday shopping experience."

The decision to open at 10:00 p.m. does not affect Anna's Linens stores in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington DC or Baltimore, as they will open at 5:00 a.m., November 23.

Stores in Puerto Rico will open at 12:01am Friday morning.

Those shopping at Anna's Linens will find a number of door-buster deals that will appeal to the most style- and cost-conscious shopper.  Comforters and embroidered sheet sets are priced at $9.99 any size; 8-piece comforter sets are $59.99; window panels are as low as $4.99; and bath towels start at $2.99.
