Announcing General Availability of BrainJocks SCORE 3.0
Enterprise Development Framework Enables Atomic Design for Sitecore®
ALPHARETTA, Ga., March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, BrainJocks announced general availability of BrainJocks SCORE™ 3.0, which is Sitecore 9.0-ready. The latest release of its modular development framework delivers a number of exciting new features.
BrainJocks SCORETM 3.0 continues to build on the principles of Atomic Design, simplifying Sitecore for development and content authoring teams. Many of the new features and functionality in the latest release were the result of the cultivated experiences of BrainJocks' own customers.
A prime example is the request to build a solution for a long-standing problem in Sitecore delivery – how to create an editor-friendly answer to the need for device-specific responsive images. Built in partnership with one of our enterprise customers, Multisource Responsive Images was the answer. Content editors now have control over the focal point of an image directly from Sitecore allowing them to scale, pan, and crop the image based on each device's capabilities.
BrainJocks SCORE enhances its already industry-leading "out of the box" search capabilities for Sitecore when used with popular search engines such as Lucene and Solr. A new multi-view search gives users the ability to toggle seamlessly between different views such as list and grid search results. Also new in this release are support for Microsoft Azure Search and the addition of new facet components which allow results to be refined by ratings and ranges of values such as price.
Extending video support to include additional platforms is an ongoing part of the product's evolution. In 2014, BrainJocks SCORE introduced YouTube support that enables content authors to effortlessly search, select and insert videos into Sitecore managed pages. Today, BrainJocks SCORE 3.0 adds the same simple and intuitive interface for videos delivered from Kaltura, Vimeo and Brightcove – all increasingly popular video hosting services.
