NEW YORK, March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EnerKnol, Inc. announces the third annual New York Energy Week (NYEW) series is June 15-19, 2015, featuring five days of events hosted by the industry's most influential names, including Con Edison, Morgan Stanley, Navigant, and CME Group, among others.
Since 2013, the series has served as a catalyst for progress, by breaking down barriers across the historically siloed sectors of the energy industry. Breaking from a typical conference format, the New York Energy Week distributed hosting model brings a unique experience by demonstrating the leadership direction of the market makers themselves, and inviting the community to address the key energy topics at their corporate offices.
NYEW harnesses NYC's role as the hub of global commerce and finance, as well as the State's prominent position as a driver of energy policy innovation with its Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) initiative. With past years' success attracting leading industry partners such as Google and MIT, the event has blossomed into a multi-faceted global event series.
"New York Energy Week is a great initiative that delivers on its mission to unite the industry. Its attendees are highly-motivated professionals and represent a diverse group of organizations that will make the changes that are needed in the industry," said Jigar Shah, CEO Carbon War Room.
Conceived in 2013, New York Energy Week was a natural complement to EnerKnol, the energy policy data analytics platform founded with the mission to provide investors with improved access to energy policy information and promote collaboration among industry sectors.
"We saw a multi-faceted approach to spurring investment in the most important industry in the world. The resulting impact and successful partnerships forged by New York Energy Week year after year have strengthened EnerKnol's commitment to hold the series annually," said Angelique Mercurio, founder and CEO of EnerKnol.
NYEW 2015 will feature events touching every sector of the energy industry, including smart grid, energy efficiency, emerging technologies, solar financing, the geopolitics surrounding natural gas, and global regulatory reform, to name a few. With energy's most influential industry leaders, key policy makers, market makers, and innovators from around the world already signed on to lead the week's events, 2015 promises to be the most transformative New York Energy Week yet.
