NEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB) has announced the fourth annual Bordeaux Under One Roof event, which will be held on November 13th in NYC. Due to the event's tremendous success, this year will mark the addition of the first-ever Los Angeles Bordeaux Under One Roof, to be held November 18th. Both events will offer trade and consumer sessions and attendees will have the special opportunity to taste a large and diverse selection of fantastic, budget-friendly Bordeaux wines, meet with local importers and winemakers, and enhance their overall knowledge of this renowned region. Guests will also experience the unveiling of Bordeaux's new creative campaign, "There Is So Much To Discover."
"Bordeaux Under One Roof offers a unique opportunity for both trade professionals and consumers to become reacquainted with Bordeaux and all that the region, and its wines, have to offer," says Patrick Cappiello, Wine Director and Managing Partner of Pearl & Ash in New York. "With almost 200 wines to taste, including reds, whites, roses and sweet wines, there is a bargain Bordeaux to match everyone's palate." The trade session of the NY event will offer a Bordeaux Master Class with Patrick Cappiello. Shelby Ledgerwood, CWE, Wine Educator and accredited Bordeaux Wine Tutor will lead the L.A. Master Class.
During the consumer tasting, the wines will be organized by the geography of the Bordeaux Appellations (i.e. left bank vs. right bank) for easy navigation. This session will also feature a photo booth and prizes throughout the night. Proceeds from all consumer ticket sales in New York will directly benefit City Harvest, the world's first food rescue organization dedicated to helping feed more than 1.4 million New Yorkers facing hunger. L.A. proceeds will go to the California Art Club, established in 1909, whose mission is to promote and support contemporary-traditional fine art. During the LA consumer portion, Signature Artists of the California Art Club will demonstrate their expertise in oil painting as guests enjoy their wine.
Event sponsor, Snooth Media, will also be hosting a Social Media Lounge at both the trade and consumer events with prize giveaways via a Twitter scavenger hunt/contest, and iGourmet, the NY event cheese sponsor, will offer a selection of French cheeses. Both the trade and consumer events will offer delicious and versatile passed hors d'oeuvres to complement the wines.
Bordeaux Under One Roof NY will be held at Industria Superstudios (775 Washington St. New York, NY 10014) on Thursday, November 13th and the L.A. edition will be held at The W Hollywood Hotel (6250 Hollywood Boulevard Hollywood, CA 90028) on Tuesday, November 18th. The trade session will run from 12:00PM-4:00PM and the consumer session will run from 7:00PM-10:00PM at both locations.
