Another 150 Upscale Restaurants Turn to Travelzoo to Attract Sophisticated Diners

NEW YORK, Jan. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelzoo Inc. (Nasdaq: TZOO), a global Internet media company, today announced that an additional 150 upscale restaurants from London to Los Angeles turned to Travelzoo to attract 450,000 new high-quality diners in the past six months. Michelin star winners and restaurants by celebrity chefs such as Rick Bayless, Michelle Bernstein, Emeril Lagasse, Ken Oringer, Gordon Ramsay, Kerry Simon and Marco Pierre White are all included.

These venues participated in Travelzoo's new Local Deals format, where Travelzoo recommends outstanding local experiences to Travelzoo subscribers. For example, Travelzoo recently recommended to its Los Angeles subscribers an $89 luxury five-course dinner for two at Catch Restaurant inside the Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, a Leading Hotel of the World. Zagat gives this beachfront restaurant a rating of "very good to excellent" (23) for food and service, and lists the eatery as one of the "Best Los Angeles Decor Restaurants" with a rating of "extraordinary" (26). Catch Restaurant attracted 2,876 diners from its most recent collaboration with Travelzoo.
