ANSAC Announces Global Price Increase of $30.00 per Metric Ton
WESTPORT, Conn., April 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective immediately ANSAC is raising prices $30 MT on all non-contract sales, and on contract sales when notice allows.
"Our growth in sales volume over the last few years is beginning to outpace our ability to load and ship tons in the reliable manner we deem essential. Organic growth and buyers moving to us for our service and reliability has resulted in almost one million tons of growth from 2011 to 2013," comments ANSAC CEO John Andrews.
"We are finalizing a major expansion of our Pacific Northwest terminal which will require significant capital. We need to invest now to keep our supply chain the best in this or any industry, and this is a necessary first step towards returning prices to the levels that will be required to keep us competitive and reinvesting in future export growth."
