Apple Pay Now Available to EXPRESS' Customers

Customers can now use the convenience of Apple Pay when shopping at Fashion Retailer

NEW YORK, May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EXPRESS, Inc. (NYSE: EXPR) announced today that Apple Pay is now available at all EXPRESS U.S. retail and factory outlet locations. 

This breakthrough payment technology provides customers with a fast, easy to use payment method which will enhance their shopping experience.

Apple Pay is easy to set up.  In stores, it works with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch. To use it, customers simply hold their iPhone near the contactless reader while keeping a finger on Touch ID, or, when using Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the face up to the contactless reader. A subtle vibration and beep let the customer know the payment was accepted and verified.

Apple Pay was designed with innovative security features. One of the core benefits of Apple Pay is security and privacy. When users add their credit or debit card to Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on their device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.

If an iPhone is ever lost or stolen, users can use Find My iPhone to quickly put the device in Lost Mode to suspend Apple Pay, or wipe the device clean. There is also the ability to stop payments from credit and debit cards on the iPhone or Apple Watch by logging into and clicking on settings.
