AppTech Corp Merges with Livecam Mobile and Announces Changes in the Company's Management Team

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Oct. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AppTech Corp (Pink Sheets: APCX) is pleased to announce that the company is now officially operating as one with Livecam Mobile (www.livecammobile.com). Founded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2007, Livecam Mobile has concentrated exclusively on building mobile apps and developing a state of the art product line based upon live mobile video technologies, which have been approved for use in Apple iOS, Android, Facebook, and Qualcomm´s BREW MP application platforms.

Livecam Mobile's clients have included leading companies in media, entertainment, industry, government and telecom in Brazil and the United States. The combination of the two companies will provide what is believed to be a better approach to content distribution on smartphone and tablet devices, social networks, wireless operators and off-deck mobile entertainment portals throughout the Americas. The totally reorganized AppTech will continue to operate under the name AppTech Corp and will be relocated to Boca Raton, Florida.

Since its foundation, Livecam Mobile has received substantial funding from private investors. The company has employed a portion of these resources to develop its proprietary technology portfolio. The agreement with AppTech Corp covers the transfer of Livecam Mobile's intellectual property assets, including U.S. patentable algorithms and encoding components of its entire mobile live video delivery platform, to AppTech Corp.

Furthermore, AppTech's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Eric Ottens, announced his resignation to be effective November 1st, 2011. Mr. Elias Rocha, Co-founder and CEO of Livecam Mobile, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board to succeed Mr. Eric Ottens. Mr. Rocha possesses a rare ten years of experience in the specific fields of mobile apps and mobile value-added services (VAS).  Ottens stated: "Elias is a mobile video streaming pioneer with profound knowledge of the dynamics involved in launching innovative apps in diverse markets throughout the Americas."
