Apptio Selected As One Of Seven Cloud Service Providers For FedRAMP Connect Program

BELLEVUE, Wash., May 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Apptio Inc, the business management system of record for hybrid IT, today announced it is one of seven cloud service providers selected for the FedRAMP Connect program. Through participation in this program, Apptio will be prioritized for FedRAMP certification based on demand from CIOs across the Federal government. 

FedRAMP Connect is a new initiative developed by FedRAMP working closely with the Federal CIO Council and OMB. Of the 40 vendors that applied for FedRAMP Connect, only seven were selected based on their government-wide demand, applicability for cross-agency use, and the security of their system. The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.
