Aquarius Cannabis Introduces AquariusPODs, a Turnkey Solution for Producing Consistent Branded Marijuana Products

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aquarius Cannabis, a U.S.-based branding company in the medical and recreational marijuana industries, today announced the launch of AquariusPODs, fully equipped, turnkey production units that will ensure that all of Aquarius-licensed growers operate using a consistent growing process in a consistent environment.

Officially launched last month, Aquarius Cannabis' goal is to create the first truly national, consumer marijuana brand by establishing consistency standards in an inconsistent and fragmented industry.

The design of these production units is critical to the Company's goal of ensuring its licensed growers produce reliable, branded products. AquariusPODs can be installed on any level site that has access to water and power where marijuana production is legal. They can be installed regardless of climate, property type or local permitting requirements.

Once a grower signs a branded-production licensing agreement with Aquarius Cannabis, the AquariusPODs can be operational within 30 days. This gives licensed partners a competitive edge in the marketplace by drastically reducing speed-to-market and up-front costs before their first revenue.

AquariusPODs are available in two versions: a mobile version that can be placed outdoors and a version built for indoor facilities. The outdoor version is a 40' x 10' self-contained mobile unit that can be delivered onto a grower's land, requiring only mild site preparation and a connection to water and power sources. The inside version is a 40' x 8' product that can be installed inside a grower's industrial space, which means growers would not need a permit for building improvements to get up and running.

Both versions boast the ability for growers to start producing Aquarius Cannabis branded marijuana products within 30 days of entering into a brand-licensing contract with the Company. 

AquariusPODs incorporate state-of-the-art technology including iGrow induction lights, which will enable Aquarius Cannabis licensed growers to produce more marijuana flowers at reduced power costs.  iGrow is an emerging leader in horticultural lighting technology, with major projects including the largest efficient lighting installation at Farmer Lee Jones and The Chef's Garden facility in Huron, Ohio. iGrow has secured more than $50M in funding to finance their light fixtures in the marijuana industry for as low as $40 per month per fixture.
