ARAG's Nicolle Schippers to Join Association of Corporate Counsel Board of Directors
DES MOINES, Iowa, June 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ARAG®, a leading provider of legal insurance, announced today that ARAG Corporate Counsel Nicolle Schippers was invited to become a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Board of Directors. The ACC is a global bar association representing in-house lawyers employed by more than 10,000 organizations in more than 85 countries.
Schippers has been an active, committed member of ACC, currently serving as Chair of the Council of Committees and on the board of the ACC Iowa Chapter. Schippers will begin serving her three-year term on the board of directors this October.

Schippers has served as Corporate Counsel for ARAG since 2007. Prior to ARAG, Schippers worked as a corporate consultant for Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company and also served five years in the Air Force as a Judge Advocate General (JAG), during which time she held the roles of criminal prosecutor, family law attorney, claims and tax attorney and defense counsel. She received her B.A. in Journalism from Iowa State University and her J.D. from Drake University Law School.
Schippers is a published author and married mother of three children. She is truly committed to her community and was recently elected president of the Group Legal Services Association. Schippers is chair of the Iowa State Bar Association's Corporate Counsel Committee CLE section and is a member of the Polk County Women Attorneys as well as the Iowa Organization of Women Attorneys. Other memberships include the Polk County Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, Military Affairs Committee for the Iowa State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Military Officers Association of America, and the Greater Des Moines Sustainability Professionals Peer Group. She is also involved in children's ministries and youth outreach programs.
