Arc Worldwide Continues to Grow Roster of Design Experts With New Retail Innovation Specialist for McDonald's
CHICAGO, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Glennon Schaffner recently joined Arc Worldwide, the marketing services arm of Leo Burnett, as its newest vice president of retail innovation, adding another design expert to Arc's growing retail team.
Schaffner brings more than 19 years of experience in retail design, interior architecture, branding, design development and project management to Arc. Schaffner has worked with such recognizable brands as M&M's World® Times Square, Marriott, Procter & Gamble, Limited Express and Victoria's Secret. He has also helped launch several brand "firsts," such as the original Club Libby Lu stores in Chicago. More recently, Schaffner was on the team that designed the first Peeps & Company store, located just outside Washington D.C., for Just Born Inc.
With a background in retail, hospitality and restaurant design, Schaffner's trained architectural eye helps create uniquely branded spaces that showcase the best the brand has to offer while remaining true to its purpose. Arc's already extensive retail offerings include digital, direct, mobile, promotion and retail marketing.
"Glennon's strong combination of skills in the retail design, branding and architecture arenas make him an invaluable asset to Arc, as we continue to strengthen our retail design discipline," said William Rosen, North America president and chief creative officer, Arc Worldwide. "We just brought on Bryan Gailey as retail design director, and with the addition of Glennon on McDonald's we add to our growing roster of world-class talent to offer our clients."
Before joining Arc, Schaffner was a principal in the Chicago Environments Studio office of RTKL, a global design firm. There he worked on projects like the Peeps & Company Store. At RTKL he also delved into the growing world of branded healthcare environments and designed for medical centers, including San Antonio Military Medical Center, Central DuPage Hospital (Winfield, Ill.), Silver Cross Medical Center, (Joliet, Ill.), and Palomar Pomerado Health near San Diego. Prior to RTKL, Schaffner served as director of design development for Chute Gerdeman and was head of the Chicago studio.
"I look forward to exploring the McDonald's brand and applying my expertise to the agency side of the business," said Schaffner. "I'm thrilled and honored to be joining the incredibly talented and creative team here at Arc."
