ARCO Design/Build Awarded New Public Refrigerated Warehouse

ATLANTA, Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ARCO Design/Build, Inc., a leading cold storage warehouse/distribution center design and construction firm, was awarded Nordic Cold Storage's new 400 KSF public refrigerated warehouse in Pooler, GA (servicing the Port of Savannah).

The new warehouse is expected to be approximately 400,000 square feet with 350,000 square feet of cooler/freezer space. The remaining area will include a 32,000 square foot cold wet and dry dock space, 6,500 square foot engine room, 8,400 square feet of maintenance and material handling and 4,500 square feet of office space. Additional features include "quick freeze" chambers, blast freezing of 15,000,000 pounds of product per week, 46 dock positions and 60 trailer storage positions.
