Argent Trust Company Appoints George McCurdy as Senior Portfolio Manager in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Argent Financial Group has appointed George McCurdy as senior portfolio manager in its Birmingham office, where he will focus on investment strategy and planning for clients.

In this role, McCurdy will advise individuals, family offices, institutions and nonprofit entities on their investment needs, trust and estate planning, and overall fiduciary goals. He will report to Birmingham's market president, Collins Compere, and augment the experienced investment team that develops and delivers tailored investment strategies for clients under chief investment officer John McCollum.

McCurdy is an accomplished portfolio manager with more than 20 years of experience developing and executing high-performing investment strategies. Skilled in investment management, financial analysis, and market research, he has a proven track record of managing multimillion-dollar portfolios, identifying profitable opportunities, and mitigating risk. His expertise in client relations and strategic growth initiatives supports asset growth and high-quality client service.

He joins Argent Financial Group after a 22-year career at Regions Investment Management, where he served as senior vice president and portfolio manager. In that role, he provided tailored investment solutions for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients, specializing in fixed-income strategies. His experience also includes credit research, equity research, and equity strategies.
