Arity® and Experian® Make It Easier for Carriers to Put Driving Behavior Data to Work at Time of Quote

Early carrier adoption demonstrates demand for a simpler path to using driving behavior data while connecting with consumers actively shopping for auto insurance.

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Arity and Experian®* today announced on stage at ITC Vegas, that insurance carriers are adopting a new experience that allows eligible consumers to access an educational Arity Driving Report through Experian and choose whether to share eligible driving behavior data while shopping for auto insurance. This milestone marks the next phase of the partnership announced in May 2026. 

Insurance carriers have long recognized the value of driving behavior data, but the effort and complexity required to access and incorporate that data into the quote flow have slowed broader adoption. Experian and Arity are creating a simpler path for participating carriers to access eligible driving information during the quote process, when a consumer has chosen to share it, helping inform new-business decisions.  

Through Experian and its membership base of more than 80 million consumers, eligible consumers can access their Arity® Driving Report, which provides a view of their driving behavior and related insights for informational and educational purposes. Consumers can then choose whether to provide consent and share eligible driving information with a participating carrier as they explore auto insurance options. **

For carriers, the opportunity extends beyond gaining earlier access to driving behavior data. These consumers are actively shopping and have requested to view information from their Arity® Driving Report. Participating carriers can request their licensed Arity IQ score or selected driving behavior attributes and determine how those insights are evaluated within their approved quoting, underwriting, and pricing processes.

Unlike traditional telematics programs that often begin after a consumer becomes a policyholder, the Arity and Experian experience allows a consumer to make qualifying driving information available during the quote process, before a policy is written.

Arity IQ has delivered double-digit bind-rate improvements across carrier deployments outside of the Experian partnership, with results approaching 25% in certain channels. Results vary based on carrier objectives, implementation, channel, and other factors.
