WINDSOR, Conn., April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC), a global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, today announced that ARMOUR Capital Management LP (ARMOUR) is adopting SS&C's CAMRA asset management reporting and accounting solution across its real-estate investment trust (REIT) operations.
ARMOUR, which manages two publicly-traded mortgage REITs – ARMOUR Residential REIT, Inc. (NYSE: ARR, ARR PrA, ARR PrB), and JAVELIN Mortgage Investment Corp. (NYSE: JMI), recognized the value and efficiency gains it could achieve by moving away from a combination of legacy systems to a more comprehensive investment accounting and reporting solution hosted by SS&C.
"We were looking for a single, integrated solution that could handle the accounting and reporting processes across our full range of investments including all types of residential mortgage-backed securities," said Mark Gruber, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Portfolio Management, ARMOUR Capital Management. "SS&C demonstrated a real understanding of our needs and the complexities of the REIT market. We are confident CAMRA will help us achieve efficiencies in the investment accounting and reporting process and to scale our operations more easily as we continue to grow our business."
SS&C is delivering CAMRA as a hosted solution to ARMOUR and will also provide support around the automation of processes and data management.
"While many mortgage REITs continue to rely on manual processes and spreadsheets to manage accounting and reporting, ARMOUR is showing real vision in moving to a solution," said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SS&C Technologies. "Our dedicated REIT servicing group looks forward to helping ARMOUR Capital Management derive maximum benefit."
