As Growth Continues, Sage Restaurant Group Adds Director Of Feasibility, New Business & Transitions
DENVER, Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As its portfolio of properties continues to expand, Sage Restaurant Group (SRG) – the Denver-based independent restaurant group dedicated to providing innovative and locally-focused food and beverage experiences – creates a new position to assist with growth operations, naming Jessica Werner as its first Director of Feasibility, New Business & Transitions.
In her new role, Werner is responsible for ensuring the smooth development and implementation of every new location added to SRG's growing portfolio of restaurants nationwide. She will oversee the development, investment, and acquisition of existing restaurants transitioning to SRG management.
"I am passionate about working in hospitality because I love to be a part of the role that a meal can play in a person's day and in his or her life," says Werner. "Many of life's joyful moments, in the simplest and most complex ways, happen at the lunch or dinner table. Making a career out of those moments has been one of the great loves of my life and is why I am so dedicated to my job."
Werner's impressive work experience prior to joining SRG includes consulting on new business development and marketing initiatives for such recognized brands as Food Network and Gilt City. At Food Network, Werner helped to create, launch and grow the brand's first restaurant concept, Food Network Kitchen, which went on to be recognized as a top 10 brand extension by both Adweek and Forbes. Her in-demand expertise also lead Werner to found and run her own boutique hospitality consulting firm, JW Hospitality Consulting.
"With this being a new role for our growing company, we knew it was important to find someone with both the energy and passion to take on the challenge," says SRG Co-Founder and COO, Peter Karpinski. "Jessica's impressive experience in the industry, and track record for launching successful initiatives and seeing them through to completion, make her a major asset to SRG and the perfect person to fill this role."
A graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, Werner is a member of the Cornell Hotel Society. In her free time, Werner has been studying and training towards her sommelier certification and has, to date, passed the introductory level sommelier exam.
